The Departmental Training Officer (DTO) – is primarily responsible for the operational aspects of departmental training; works in collaboration with the Departmental Management, the Learning and Development Group and the Human Resources Frontline on matters relating to the collection, organisation, analysis and prioritisation of departmental training needs as well as on the production of departmental training plans and reports on training-related issues. The DTO may provide personnel with technical guidance in the selection of courses.
