News 2022 – Week 18
A few highlights this month include:
- ’First Aid – Life-Saving Actions (Covid-19)’: seats are available for sessions in June and July. Other sessions in English and French are proposed until the end of the year.
- Technical training:
- ARAS training: sessions are being organised between September and December 2022 for people already trained on Smarteam. More news will come soon!
- ‘Basics of ISO GPS (Geometrical Product Specification) standard’: enrolment is possible for sessions in June, in English or French.
- ‘Electrostatics / ESD Protection’: enrolment is open for the only session organised in 2022 (in English).
- UDEMY: the licenses for 2022 are sold out…if you need to get one you can contact technical.training@cern.ch.
- Communicating with Impact: revised/new hybrid format for this mandatory training for the new supervisors (1 full day face-to-face, 2 half-days online).
- Procurement supplies: from June, the 4 modules will be also proposed in French.
- Learning Polls featured on the homepage of the Learning Hub (see an example below): you are encouraged to take part in the series of polls that will be launched over the next few months. Your participation is key to compile data on current learning habits, trends and learning preferences at CERN.

The HR-LD colleagues would like to draw your attention to learner engagement for courses delivered online via Zoom: in the coming weeks learners will be reminded of the importance of being fully present and engaged during virtual sessions.
The ‘Welcome session‘ and ‘Onboarding-Connecting the dots‘ are finally back on site!!
